A Chinese tipster, Ice Universe, shared details on Weibo regarding the EXIF information of an image allegedly captured with the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera.

According to the leaked information, the telephoto camera of the Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast a 50-megapixel sensor capable of capturing images at a resolution of 6,120×8,160 pixels, with a file size of 20.76MB. This represents a significant upgrade from the 10-megapixel telephoto camera found in its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It’s important to note that while a higher megapixel count does not guarantee superior image quality, it does indicate Samsung’s commitment to improving the camera capabilities of its flagship devices.

Another leak, this time from Twitter user @chunvn8888, showcased an image of the alleged camera module for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, revealing the model number SM-G928U, which is believed to correspond to Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone.

The anticipation for the Galaxy S24 series is further fueled by a teaser image shared by tipster Evan Blass, hinting at a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event scheduled for January 18 at 1:00 AM KST (11:30 PM IST).
